What's MNS #21 looking like Today?

These pictures were taken in the spring of 2002 at the Railroad Museum at Union, Illinois. The museum is a rather remarkable collection of railroad equipment, most of it operating.

The engine profiled here is Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern #22, a Baldwin center cab engine of note since it actually operating and still does excursions.

On the day I was there the museum was mostly shut down since it was a weekday with only a person manning the gift shop so I took some extreme close-ups of the engine.

The pictures were taken with a Fuji Finepix 4700 zoom digital camera. The railroad museum had an interesting clause posted on a sign indicating that pictures I took could be used for personal use but not profit from them. I hope you enjoy these - hopefully it serves as an advertisement and enticement to visit one of the largest and most incredible collection of operating railroad equipment in existence.
